The Lion, Eagle & Unicorn

Three icons. One town. Generations of craftsmanship.

For over 150 years, Hawick has been home to Scotland's most iconic heritage brands. Pringle of Scotland with their lion. Lyle & Scott with their golden eagle.

Now, Born of Alba continues the tradition.

THE HAWICK FLAG

Hawick's town flag carries two colours: gold and blue.

In 1874, Lyle & Scott claimed the gold with their iconic golden eagle - a symbol that would become known worldwide.

150 years later, Born of Alba claims the blue.

THE BLUE UNICORN

Scotland's national animal, embroidered in blue.

The blue holds dual meaning:

First, it honours the Saltire - Scotland's flag, flown for over 500 years. The official blue of Scottish pride.

Second, it honours Hawick. Our town's flag is gold and blue. Lyle & Scott took the gold. We take the blue.

Two colours. Two icons. One town.

Now, a third icon joins them.

BORN OF ALBA

Contemporary Scottish heritage for a new generation.

We honour Hawick's 200-year textile tradition while looking forward. Premium quality apparel, made to order, featuring Scotland's unicorn embroidered in the blue of both our national flag and our hometown.

Our vision: to bring manufacturing back to Hawick, continuing the legacy of quality craftsmanship that made this town famous.

The lion. The eagle. The unicorn.
